– 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
– 1/2 tsp dried basil
– 1/2 tsp dried oregano
– 1/4 tsp black pepper
– 1/2 tsp salt

1. Prepare the Meatballs:
– Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
– In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, parsley, basil, Parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; be careful not to over mix.
– Form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch (4 cm) meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
2. Bake the Meatballs:
– Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
3. Prepare the Spicy Tomato Sauce:
– While the meatballs are baking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
– Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
– Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
– Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and sugar. Mix well.
– Add the red pepper flakes, dried basil, dried oregano, black pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.
