Cream Cheese Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  1.  1 teaspoon baking soda
  2. 1/4 cup sour cream
  3.  1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  4.  2 large eggs
  5.  3 ripe bananas, mashed
  6.  1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  7.  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  8.  1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  9.  4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  10.  1 cup granulated sugar
  11.  1/2 teaspoon salt

preparation:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan to ensure your bread comes out easily.
2. In a medium bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Whisk these dry ingredients together until well mixed.
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together using a mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy.
4. Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract next for a luscious aroma.
5. Mix in the mashed bananas and sour cream, ensuring everything is combined smoothly.
6. In a separate small bowl, beat the cream cheese until it is silky and smooth, making it easy to swirl later.
7. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared loaf pan. Carefully spread the cream cheese over this layer, and then add the remaining banana batter on top.
8. Bake in your preheated oven for about 60 to 70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Keep an eye on it, as baking times may vary.
9. Once done, allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy slices warm or at room temperature!
